About Joyful Path of Good Fortune
We all have the potential for self-transformation, and a limitless capacity for the growth of good qualities, but to fulfil this potential we need to know what to do at every stage of our spiritual journey.
By studying this book on Foundation Program (FP), we receive step-by-step guidance on the meditation practices that will lead us to lasting inner peace and happiness. With extraordinary clarity, in Joyful Path of Good Fortune Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche presents Buddha's teachings in the order in which they are to be practiced, with rich stories and analogies.
In Foundation Program, we will study this perfect guidebook to the Buddhist path.
In general, one may enroll at any time, and you may try two classes before enrolling. Particular class days are more conducive as 'trial days' so please contact us for a good day to come. If you decide to join us you can enroll right after the second trial class.
Those who are new to FP may enroll for a shorter period, from February until June. Those with experience should enroll for the entire Part One.

Why do we need a study program?
Buddhism teaches that to find lasting happiness and meaning in our lives we need to follow a spiritual path.
To follow this path it is important to have a qualified teacher who can offer us advice and encouragement and give us pure Dharma teachings. It is also important to have a strong spiritual community who provide good conditions for our practice.
These conditions help us penetrate more deeply into the meaning of Buddha’s teachings, engage in sincere and regular study, and maintain a daily meditation practice that is both focused and powerful.
Through regular teachings and meditation, along with systematic study and discussion, the Foundation Program offers spiritual support. In essence it is the same training followed by spiritual practitioners in an unbroken lineage dating back to Buddha himself.
Its special quality is that we can gain authentic experience within the context of our modern lifestyle. By studying on this program we will gain great confidence in the methods for transforming the mind – from basic techniques for overcoming our everyday problems to practices leading to unsurpassed happiness and permanent inner peace.
Foundation program is also available by correspondence for those who cannot attend in person due to distance or other reasons.
